Blue Sky & CASL Partnership

Blue Sky Communities and CASL have successfully partnered in developing affordable housing communities across Florida with two completed and 6 more under construction.   Blue Sky Communities, a Tampa based developer, specializes in the development of affordable housing communities using the Federal Housing Credits program. CASL, a Sarasota based non-profit, is a permanent supportive housing service provider for people with a mental health diagnosis and/or developmental disabilities.  Since 2017, this partnership has led the way by coupling together case management supportive services tailored to the individual’s needs along with permanent apartment-style housing. Individuals can thrive independently and become an active member of our community.

The supportive housing focuses on those populations who are or who may become homeless with one or more of the following conditions:

• mental health diagnosis 
• diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• workforce housing for working families who are low-income
• elderly
• veterans
• those emerging from domestic violence

CASL’s on-site housing support team ensures tenants have access to necessary services which range from transportation and access to essential health care services.
