Our Leadership Team

Meet our C.E.O.

SCOTT

Scott Eller

CASL Inc. C.E.O.
scott.eller@caslinc.org

Scott Eller dreamed about Renaissance Manor until its inception 24 years ago, a permanent home for individuals with behavioral and co-occurring disorders, many who came from being homeless. In its humble beginnings, the Eller’s were the administrators, the cooks, housekeeping, and facility maintenance. To this day, Scott is acting President/CEO and an avid advocate of the severe and persistently mentally ill in our community. Early on Scott recognized the need for different levels of residential options for vulnerable populations who thrive when given stable housing and the quality of life they deserve.

A few years later, a long-time friend of the Ellers, Charley Richards, founder of Community Affordable & Supported Living, reached out to Scott about partnering to leverage the economy of scale so the two organizations could grow together to reach more people. Charley’s focus was on the intellectual and developmental disabled (I/DD) population, offering affordable scattered-site housing for persons with med-waiver support partners to live independently. So in 2009, Renaissance Manor and Community Affordable merged to become: CASL (Community Assisted and Supported Living).

In 2017, Scott Eller and Shawn Wilson, President of Blue Sky Communities, created a partnership to develop permanent supportive housing throughout the state of Florida. Since then, Blue Sky and CASL have been awarded over $120 million in Federal and State Funding and 8 separate projects. CASL’s success is focused on permanent supportive housing, not just housing individuals but surrounding them with the support services to make them an integral member of the community.

By the end of 2022 CASL will serve over 1,000 clients with very low incomes Alachua, Manatee, Sarasota, Orange, Polk, Charlotte, Lee, Pinellas, and Collier counties. Through multiple collaborations and joint ventures, and partnerships CASL continues to grow throughout the State of Florida to provide supportive, affordable housing.

Scott has a BS in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of Central Florida. Scott is a Community Advocate for the Developmentally Disabled, Homeless, Mentally Ill, Disabled Veterans and works tirelessly to better meet their needs in the community.
